If you've been sending free submissions every week and hearing almost nothing back, you're probably wondering whether to pay for more, or look for a Daily Playlists alternative. DailyPlaylists is a submission marketplace: you submit a released song to playlists listed on its platform, the curator approves or declines it, and approved songs are added to the playlist automatically [2]. It's free to start, which is a real plus, and it sells Premium Credits and a Professional subscription on top [1].
Short version: DailyPlaylists is a fair free place to start, but if you pitch every release, MusicMinutes Artist at £72 a year gives you around 24,000 bot-checked Spotify playlists with curator contacts you keep, no fee per pitch, and a full set of artist tools on top.
We checked DailyPlaylists' pricing page and FAQ in October 2026 [1][2]. Prices change, so check both sites before you pay. DailyPlaylists shows UK visitors its prices in US dollars and charges in dollars, so your bank converts the amount (often with a small fee), and VAT may be added at checkout. And yes, this is our blog, so we've stuck to facts you can check and said plainly where the two aren't directly comparable.
The fair comparison: a subscription vs a subscription
DailyPlaylists has a subscription as well as pay-per-submission credits, so we can compare like with like. Its Professional plan is $19.99 a month, or $16.66 a month billed yearly [1], which its FAQ puts at $199.99 a year [2]. MusicMinutes Artist is £10 a month, or £72 a year (£6 a month). Most of our members pay yearly. Both MusicMinutes plans get the same playlist tools, so Artist is the fair pairing. Artist Pro (£180 a year) mainly adds more videos.
DailyPlaylists prices in US dollars and we price in pounds. We haven't converted anything, so you're seeing each site's own numbers.
One release, pitched to 20 curators
Say you want replies, so you go to Premium curators on DailyPlaylists. Premium Credits are $19.99 for 10 [1], and its FAQ says "each submission costs $2 for the artist" [2]. Some higher-tier curators charge 2 or 3 credits [2]. So 20 Premium curators at 1 credit each is 20 credits: two 10-credit bundles, $19.99 × 2 = $39.98, at least. Curators who charge more push that up.
On MusicMinutes, you use Playlist Search to find the 20 curators who fit your song, reveal their contacts and pitch them yourself by email, Instagram or their own submission link. MusicMinutes charges nothing per pitch, so that release costs nothing beyond the plan. What each curator does with your pitch is up to them.
A year of releases
Now take four singles in a year, each pitched to 20 Premium curators:
- DailyPlaylists credits only: 4 × $39.98 = $159.92 a year, at least.
- DailyPlaylists Professional plus credits: $199.99 + $159.92 = $359.91 a year, at least.
- MusicMinutes Artist: £72 a year, covering all four releases, with 36 submissions to the MusicMinutes playlists (3 a month) included.
What isn't like for like
On DailyPlaylists, Standard Submissions (free, paid or on Professional) don't promise a response. The curator has 21 days to review your song, and the credits aren't refunded if nobody replies [2]. Premium is different: a Premium curator has to give you feedback if they don't accept your track, and if you hear nothing within a week you get the credit back automatically [2]. That promise has real value.
With Playlist Search you contact curators directly, and they don't owe you a reply either. The difference is that the contact is yours to keep, so you can pitch the same curator again next release.
Left out on purpose
DailyPlaylists has extras around playlisting that MusicMinutes doesn't offer [1][2]. They exist, but they aren't Spotify playlist pitching, so we've left them out of the comparison:
- Pre-save gates and ReDrop, both part of Professional [1].
- Community feedback on your songs, also in Professional [1].
- Playlist trades [2] and its content generator [1].

DailyPlaylists pricing vs MusicMinutes pricing
DailyPlaylists prices are as listed on 11 October 2026 [1][2].
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| MusicMinutes Artist | £10 a month, or £72 a year (£6 a month) | Playlist Search, 3 submissions a month to the MusicMinutes playlists, 10 Clips videos, 10 Clarity analyses, Inspo, Spotify Canvas, posting calendar, 1-2-1 advice |
| MusicMinutes Artist Pro | £20 a month, or £180 a year (£15 a month) | Everything in Artist, with 100 Clips videos and 20 Clarity analyses a month |
| DailyPlaylists Free | $0 | 10 Standard Submissions a week [1] |
| DailyPlaylists Standard Submissions | $7.99 for 10 | Submissions to Standard curators [1][2] |
| DailyPlaylists Premium Credits | $19.99 for 10 credits | Submissions to Premium curators, feedback or the credit back [1][2] |
| DailyPlaylists Professional | $19.99 a month, or $16.66 a month billed yearly ($199.99 a year) | 30 Standard Submissions a week, playlist recommendations, community song feedback, pre-save gates, ReDrop [1]. Up to 5 songs a month on the Professional dashboard [2] |
To be fair to DailyPlaylists, if you want free Spotify playlist submission, nothing on MusicMinutes matches 10 free submissions a week for $0. If you only want to try playlisting once, that's a sensible place to start. Where the money adds up is the replies. Premium Credits are bought separately [1], so the feedback-or-credit-back route costs more with every curator you add. MusicMinutes takes 40% off Artist and 25% off Artist Pro when you pay yearly, and there's no fee per pitch on top.
Why MusicMinutes is better value for Spotify playlisting
You keep the contacts
Every curator contact you reveal in Playlist Search stays yours forever, even if you cancel. A curator who added your last single is the first person to email about the next one. Over a few releases you build your own network of curators, and that's worth more than any single campaign.
On DailyPlaylists, you reach the curator through its platform each time, and every Premium submission costs credits again [2].
No fee per pitch
MusicMinutes doesn't charge per pitch. You send it by email, Instagram or the curator's own submission link. Some curators may have their own rules, and that's up to them, but the plan price doesn't change whether you pitch 10 curators this month or 40.
Bot-checked, with a quality score that updates daily
DailyPlaylists sets follower and track minimums for the playlists it lists [2]. On our side, every playlist in Playlist Search is bot-checked and has a quality score that updates daily. Botted and payola playlists are hidden automatically and reviewed constantly. Each one also shows its follower history, how active it is and how many small artists it features, so you can see a playlist's history before you pitch it.
That matters because songs on independent playlists often stay for over a month. A good placement keeps working for you long after you pitched it.
3 human-checked submissions a month, included
On top of your own pitching, Submit lets you pitch a track from your Spotify catalogue to the MusicMinutes playlists in one click. A human checks the genre, style and quality fit, there are no bots, and you can track the status and feedback in your dashboard. That's 36 submissions a year inside the plan price.
You get far more than playlist pitching
Getting on a playlist is one part of a release. Every paid MusicMinutes plan also includes:
- Clips: builds up to 30 drafts at once for one song, synced to the beat so they loop, with lyric styles, Magic Hooks (30 text hooks per run) and Spotify Canvas. Artist includes 10 videos a month, Artist Pro 100. We never generate footage with AI. A posting calendar reminds you when to post, with a caption and 3 hashtags to copy, but it never posts for you. We tested direct posting through TikTok's API on our own account, and the account was shadowbanned.
- Clarity: upload a TikTok or Reel and get honest feedback with clear fixes in about 30 seconds.
- Inspo: a feed of real musician videos with their feedback, to learn what actually works.
- 1-2-1 advice: message Paul, our founder and an independent artist with over 1M Spotify streams, for help with Meta ads, playlist pitching and your release.
DailyPlaylists' plans don't list video tools, video feedback or 1-2-1 advice. You can see every limit side by side on our pricing page.
Where DailyPlaylists might suit you
- You want to start for free. 10 Standard Submissions a week cost nothing [1].
- You want pre-save gates or community feedback on your songs. Both come with Professional [1].
- You'd rather submit inside one platform than email curators yourself.
The verdict: the better-value DailyPlaylists alternative
If you're testing the water, DailyPlaylists' free tier is a fair place to start. If you release music every few months and want replies you can count on, the Premium route charges you per curator, every time, and the relationship stays on its platform.
MusicMinutes Artist is £72 a year. For that you get around 24,000 bot-checked playlists with curator contacts you keep, no fee per pitch, 3 human-checked submissions a month, plus video tools, video feedback and 1-2-1 advice. Curators still decide for themselves, so nobody can promise you a placement. But each release builds on the last one instead of starting from zero.
If that sounds like your release plan, have a look at Playlist Search on MusicMinutes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is DailyPlaylists free?
Yes, to start. Its free tier costs nothing and gives you 10 Standard Submissions a week to Standard curators [1][2]. Those submissions don't promise a reply, and they aren't refunded if the curator doesn't respond [2].
How much are DailyPlaylists Premium credits?
When we checked in October 2026, $19.99 for 10 credits [1]. Its FAQ says each submission costs the artist $2, and some higher-tier Premium curators charge 2 or 3 credits per submission [2].
Is DailyPlaylists legit?
It's a submission platform where playlist owners make the call. Its FAQ says the platform makes no editorial decisions and doesn't guarantee your music will get playlisted, and a playlist needs at least 100 followers and 30 tracks to be listed. Premium submissions come with feedback, or the credit back if you hear nothing within a week [2].
What happens if a DailyPlaylists curator doesn't reply?
It depends on the kind of submission. A Standard curator has 21 days to review your song, and there's no refund if they don't respond. With a Premium curator, if there's no feedback within a week, the credit comes back to you automatically [2].
Can I use DailyPlaylists and MusicMinutes together?
Yes. You could use free submissions on DailyPlaylists while building your own list of curators through Playlist Search. Over time, the contacts you keep are the part that carries over from one release to the next.
