In short: Sign up free, open Submit in your dashboard, and send one song every 30 days to the MusicMinutes playlists, which we grow with Meta ads. It costs nothing. In return, free submissions are low priority: paid members are reviewed first, your pitch is not guaranteed to be reviewed, and only a small number of free submissions are accepted.

How do I submit to Spotify playlists for free?

Everything happens inside your MusicMinutes account. There is no separate form, nothing to pay and nothing to email us.

  1. 1Create your free account at musicminutes.co/auth/sign-up. Email address only, no card.
  2. 2Confirm your email, then log in and land on your Dashboard.
  3. 3Click Submit in the left-hand sidebar, under Playlisting, or go straight to musicminutes.co/submit.
  4. 4Hit New, search your song or paste its Spotify link, and submit. The quota bar at the top shows what you have left.

How do we grow the playlists?

Mainly with Meta ads. We run paid campaigns on Facebook and Instagram to our playlists whenever budget allows, which is what brings real, targeted listeners to the songs on them, alongside organic posting and keyword SEO. We have put over £1k of Meta ad spend into building the playlists so far. We pause campaigns from time to time to stay within budget, and newer playlists take a while to get going, so follower counts vary a lot between them. What we never do is buy followers or streams.

Good to know before you submit

Free means free, and it also means you are behind the paid queue. Here is exactly what that looks like, so you know what to expect.

Paid members are reviewed first

Free submissions sit behind the paid queue, so yours is reviewed when we have capacity left over. Some free submissions will not be reviewed at all.

Only a small number are accepted

Our playlists have limited slots and we keep the bar high so placements last, so most free submissions are declined.

One track every 30 days

Free accounts get a single submission per month, against 3 priority submissions on the paid plan.

Placement is never sold, on any plan

Paying moves you to the front of the queue and gets you a decision. It does not buy a slot on a playlist.

Upgrading lifts a waiting pitch

If you subscribe while a free submission is still pending, it moves into the priority queue on its own. No resubmitting.

Why pitch through MusicMinutes rather than a submission site?

No submission fee and no credit card on the free plan
Every playlist is ours, named and visible before you pitch
Playlists grown with Meta ads, never bots
A human checks the genre, style and quality fit
Real listeners who already like your genre
Track your submission's status in your dashboard
From the founder

Most "free" playlist submission sites are a mailing list sold back to you, or a paid pitch with the price hidden a click away. I would rather open my own playlists up properly and be honest about the catch: paying members get reviewed first, and I only have so many hours and so many playlist slots. If your song is right, a free pitch can still land, it just has to wait its turn.
