If you're looking for a Groover alternative, you're probably tired of paying again every time a new song comes out, and starting from zero with curators who were never really yours. Groover lets you pick playlist curators, blogs, radio stations, labels and other music pros, send them your track, and get feedback or your credits back [1][2]. It's a real service with a big network, and a promised reply is a genuine plus.
So this comparison looks at what the Spotify playlist side costs you over one release and over a whole year of releases. We checked Groover's pricing page in October 2026 [1]. Prices change, so check both sites before you pay. Groover prices in euros; switch its pricing page to pounds and one contact shows as £1.69 [1]. And yes, this is our blog, so we've stuck to facts you can check and said plainly where the two aren't directly comparable. Short version: if you release a few times a year and Spotify playlists are the goal, MusicMinutes gives you more for the money. If you want a promised reply, or press and radio too, Groover does something we don't.
The fair comparison: paying per pitch vs a flat yearly price
Groover has no subscription. Its own words are "Pay per submission. No recurring fees" [1]. You buy credits called Grooviz, and 1 Grooviz costs €1. Sending your track to one curator or pro usually costs 2 Grooviz, and in rare cases 4 or 6 for its top curators [1]. Grooviz never expire, and packs start at €46 with bulk discounts as you buy more [1].
MusicMinutes works the other way round. You pay a flat price, most members pay yearly, and Playlist Search is there all year. So the fair way to compare is money spent on the same job. Here's the sum, using Groover's usual price of 2 Grooviz a contact and its own advice that the most successful campaigns contact at least 50 curators and pros [1]:
- One release on Groover: 50 contacts × 2 Grooviz = 100 Grooviz, so about €100 before any pack discount.
- Four releases a year on Groover: 4 × 100 Grooviz = 400 Grooviz, so about €400 before pack discounts. Next year, the same again.
- A year of MusicMinutes Artist: £72 (£6 a month), or £10 a month if you pay monthly. That covers Playlist Search all year, whether you release once or every month, plus 3 human-checked submissions to the MusicMinutes playlists every month (36 a year).
- A year of MusicMinutes Artist Pro: £180 (£15 a month), or £20 monthly. Same playlist tools, with more Clips videos and Clarity analyses.
With Groover you pay each time you pitch, and you pay again next release. With Playlist Search you pay one price, pitch the matching curators you choose without a fee per pitch, and keep their contacts.
Left out on purpose
- Blogs, media, radio, labels, managers and DJs. Groover reaches these too [2]. MusicMinutes doesn't offer them, so we've only compared the Spotify playlist part. If you want press and radio too, that's a real reason to use Groover.
- Top-curator prices. Some Groover curators cost 4 or 6 Grooviz [1]. We used the usual 2 throughout, so the Groover figures here are the normal price, not the top end.
What isn't like for like
Groover promises feedback. If a curator doesn't reply within 7 days, you get those Grooviz back automatically, and it says most reply in under 72 hours [1]. That's worth something, especially if you want quick, honest notes on a track.
Playlist Search is different. You get the curator's contact and pitch them yourself, by email, Instagram or their own submission link. A curator you find there doesn't owe you a reply, and what each curator does with your pitch is up to them. What you get instead is the contact itself, kept for good.
MusicMinutes vs Groover: feature comparison

| Cost to pitch one curator | No per-pitch fee from MusicMinutes | Usually 2 Grooviz (about €2), sometimes 4 or 6 [1] |
| Who you can reach | Around 24,000 Spotify playlists and around 10,000 curators | 3,000+ active curators and pros across playlists, blogs, radio and labels [1][2] |
| How you reach a curator | Reveal their verified contact (email, Instagram or a submission link) and pitch them directly | You send through Groover's platform, per contact [1] |
| Next release | Your contacts are still yours, even if you cancel. Pitch them again | Pay per contact again [1] |
| Replies (not like for like) | Curators don't owe you a reply | Feedback within 7 days or your Grooviz back [1] |

Groover pricing vs MusicMinutes pricing
Groover prices are in euros and ours are in pounds, so we've left them as they are rather than converting. Groover prices checked 11 October 2026 [1].
| Option | Price | Spotify playlist part | Also included |
|---|---|---|---|
| MusicMinutes Artist | £10 a month, or £72 a year (£6 a month) | Playlist Search all year, 3 human-checked submissions a month | 10 Clips videos and 10 Clarity analyses a month, Inspo, Spotify Canvas, posting calendar, 1-2-1 advice |
| MusicMinutes Artist Pro | £20 a month, or £180 a year (£15 a month) | Playlist Search all year, 3 human-checked submissions a month | 100 Clips videos and 20 Clarity analyses a month, plus everything in Artist |
| Groover, one contact | 2 Grooviz (about €2), rarely 4 or 6 [1] | One curator or pro | The same credits also reach blogs, radio and labels [2] |
| Groover, one release at 50 contacts | 100 Grooviz, about €100 before pack discounts | 50 curators and pros, once | Feedback within 7 days from each contact, or the credits back [1] |
| Groover, four releases a year | 400 Grooviz, about €400 before pack discounts | 200 contacts across the year | Feedback within 7 days from each contact, or the credits back [1] |
To be fair to Groover, packs start at €46 and get cheaper per Grooviz as you buy more, and the credits never expire [1], so the real numbers can come in under the ones above. If you put out one single a year and want feedback from 50 curators within a week (or your credits back), about €100 is a clear, one-off spend. The gap opens up when you release often. Every Groover campaign costs roughly the same as the last one, while £72 covers a year of Artist however many songs you put out.
Why MusicMinutes is better value for Spotify playlisting
You keep the contacts, even if you cancel
This is the big one. When you reveal a curator's contact in Playlist Search, it's yours for good. Next release, you don't start from zero. You go back to the curators who liked your last song, add a few new ones, and pitch again. After a year of releases you have your own network of curators, built around your sound.
No per-pitch fee
MusicMinutes doesn't charge you per pitch. Ten curators or a hundred, the price is the same. That changes how you pitch. You can send to the small playlist that fits perfectly as well as the big one, without doing sums in your head first. Each curator still decides what to do with your pitch, and some use their own submission link with its own rules, so check how they want to be pitched before you send.
Songs on independent playlists often stay for over a month, so one good placement can keep working long after the pitch.
Bot-checked playlists with a daily quality score
Search around 24,000 organic Spotify playlists by keyword, genre, mood or a similar artist. Every playlist has a quality score that updates daily, plus its follower history, how active it is and how many small artists it features. Botted and payola playlists are hidden automatically and reviewed constantly, so you can spend your time on playlists with real listeners.
Submit: 3 human-checked submissions a month
On top of your own pitching, Submit lets you pitch a track from your Spotify catalogue to the MusicMinutes playlists in one click. A person checks the genre, style and quality fit, never a bot, and you can follow the status and feedback in your dashboard. That's 36 submissions a year included in the price.
You get far more than playlist pitching
Playlists are only half of a release. Every paid MusicMinutes plan also includes:
- Clips: makes a batch of up to 30 short videos for one song in one go, synced to the beat so they loop, with lyric styles, Magic Hooks (30 text hooks per run) and Spotify Canvas. We never generate footage with AI. The posting calendar reminds you when to post, with a caption and 3 hashtags to copy, but it never posts for you. We tested direct posting through TikTok's API on our own account, and the account was shadowbanned.
- Clarity: upload a TikTok or Reel and get honest feedback with clear fixes in about 30 seconds.
- Inspo: a feed of real musician videos with their feedback, to learn what actually works.
- 1-2-1 advice: message Paul, our founder and an independent artist with over 1M Spotify streams, for help with Meta ads, playlist pitching and your release.
Groover is built for pitching, so video tools, Canvas and video feedback aren't part of what it sells. You can see every MusicMinutes limit side by side on our pricing page.
Where Groover might suit you
- You want a reply within a week. Groover's feedback promise, or your credits back, is something a direct pitch can't give you [1].
- You want blogs, radio or labels as well as playlists. Groover reaches them from one campaign [2]. MusicMinutes doesn't.
- You'd rather pay per campaign than have a subscription. If you release rarely, buying credits only when you need them can make sense.
The verdict: the better-value Groover alternative for Spotify playlists
If you release a few times a year and Spotify playlists are the goal, MusicMinutes gives you more for the money. About €100 on Groover reaches 50 curators and pros once. £72 a year on Artist gives you around 24,000 bot-checked playlists to search, curator contacts you keep, no per-pitch fee, 36 human-checked submissions, and video tools and feedback for the rest of your release. What you give up is the promised reply, so pitch well and follow up.
The two can work together too. You could use Groover for a short burst of feedback and press on a big single, and Playlist Search to build the curator network you'll use on every release after.
If building your own list of curators sounds like your plan, have a look at Playlist Search on MusicMinutes.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Groover cost?
When we checked in October 2026, 1 Grooviz cost €1 and one contact usually cost 2 Grooviz, sometimes 4 or 6 for top curators. Packs start at €46 [1]. Groover says its most successful campaigns usually contact at least 50 curators and pros [1], which is 100 Grooviz, about €100 before pack discounts.
Do Groover credits expire?
No. Groover says Grooviz never expire, so you can buy a pack and use it whenever you want [1].
What happens if a Groover curator doesn't reply?
If you don't get feedback within 7 days, Groover gives you the Grooviz back for those contacts automatically [1].
Is Groover worth it for Spotify playlists?
It can be, for one big campaign where you want fast, promised replies. If you release often, paying around €100 per release adds up, and the curators don't become yours. A flat yearly price with contacts you keep, like Playlist Search, is better value for regular releases.
Can I use Groover and MusicMinutes together?
Yes. Use Groover when you want quick feedback or blogs and radio on a big single, and MusicMinutes to find bot-checked playlists, build your own curator contacts and submit to the MusicMinutes playlists every month.
