If you're looking for a LYRC alternative, you probably want a steady run of lyric videos for your release without paying a lot for each one. LYRC and MusicMinutes both turn your song into lyric videos for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, and both cut the footage to the beat [2][3].
This comparison looks at what you get for your money and how each video is made. We checked LYRC's pricing and feature pages on 10 October 2026 [1], and its lyric video maker page was last updated on 27 September 2026 [3]. Prices change, so check both sites before you pay. LYRC shows UK visitors its prices in US dollars and charges in dollars, so your bank converts the amount (often with a small fee), and VAT may be added at checkout. And yes, this is our blog, so we've stuck to facts you can check and said where the two aren't directly comparable.
The fair comparison: £15 vs $59
LYRC Elite gives you 100 exports a month for $89 monthly, or $708 a year, which is $59 a month [1]. The closest MusicMinutes plan is Artist Pro, also 100 videos a month: £20 monthly, or £180 a year, which is £15 a month. Both sell yearly, so we compare yearly with yearly. Monthly prices are in the pricing table.
Left out on purpose, because we don't offer them and most artists comparing lyric video tools aren't buying for them:
- An artist landing page with a built-in music player [1].
- AI cover art in 4K [1].
- LYRC's "Connect to Claude" connector [1].
- Credits and AI models. LYRC plans come with monthly credits and "14 AI models included", and extra exports cost credits [1]. We don't sell credits: your plan's limits are what you get.
One row also isn't like for like. Transcription: MusicMinutes transcribes your whole song in one go, so one upload covers every section. LYRC works on a 15 to 30 second section [3], and Elite includes 12 "premium transcriptions" a month [1]. Our 15 songs a month are whole songs, so the counts aren't directly comparable.

LYRC pricing vs MusicMinutes pricing
These are the plans a solo artist would look at.
| Plan | Price | Videos a month | Also included |
|---|---|---|---|
| MusicMinutes Artist | £10 a month, or £72 a year (£6 a month) | 10, from 3 whole songs (1 full-length) | Canvas, 150 Magic Hooks, playlist contacts, 3 submissions, 10 Clarity analyses, Inspo |
| MusicMinutes Artist Pro | £20 a month, or £180 a year (£15 a month) | 100, from 15 whole songs (4 full-length) | Everything in Artist, plus every style, lyrics behind you, 300 Magic Hooks, 20 Clarity analyses |
| LYRC Creator | $29 a month, or $288 a year ($24 a month) | 30 exports, up to 30s | 8 templates, 3 premium transcriptions, Instagram posting [1] |
| LYRC Pro | $49 a month, or $444 a year ($37 a month) | 60 exports, up to 30s | 12 templates, 6 premium transcriptions, Instagram posting [1] |
| LYRC Elite | $89 a month, or $708 a year ($59 a month) | 100 exports, up to 30s | Unlimited templates, 12 premium transcriptions, Instagram posting [1] |
Per video on the yearly plans, Artist Pro is £180 for 1,200 videos, about 15p each. LYRC Elite is $708 for 1,200 exports, 59 cents each. LYRC Pro is about 62 cents ($444 for 720) and Creator 80 cents ($288 for 360) [1].
At the bottom end, fair is fair. Our Artist plan is 10 videos for £6 a month yearly, and LYRC Creator is 30 exports for $24 a month yearly [1]. If you only want short lyric videos, that's more of them. At 100 a month, MusicMinutes costs less per video and puts more into each one, before you count the playlist tools and feedback.
Why MusicMinutes is technically better for your videos
Your whole song, and full-length videos too
LYRC's FAQ says each video is a 15 to 30 second part of your song [2], and every plan lists templates of up to 30 seconds [1]. Fine for many posts, but a limit if you want the whole track.
Clips analyses and transcribes the whole song from one upload. Want one part this week and another next week? Pick a new moment in seconds. LYRC lets you save a corrected section as a template for another version of that section [3], which helps, but each new section starts again.
Artist Pro also makes 4 full-length videos a month (over a minute), so one upload gives you a full lyric video as well as your TikToks.
Synced to whole bars, so every video loops
LYRC proposes beat cut markers that you listen through and nudge [3]. Clips also snaps the moment you pick to whole bars, so each video starts and ends just before a beat lands and flows straight back into the start. A clean loop is easy to watch twice. Cuts land on the beat at the speed you choose (Auto, Slow, Medium or Fast).
Hooks written from what's working right now
The text hook is the line on screen that decides whether someone keeps watching. LYRC's plans don't list a hook writer.
Magic Hooks starts from evidence. It looks at hooks from real musician videos posted in the last six months, ranks them by real comments, and narrows them to your song's genre and mood. It writes 30 at a time, about your lyrics, your footage or your own idea, so every video in a batch can test a different angle. To pick the AI behind it, we blind-tested six AI models on real songs, with judges from two different AI companies, and kept the one that ranked best.
More looks than lyrics alone, and lyrics behind you
LYRC has more lyric presets: 27 [2] against our 11 lyric styles. If text style is all you care about, that's a point to LYRC.
Artist Pro adds 20 music visualisers, 12 filters, 10 transitions and 12 effects, plus camera motion like zoom pulses, shakes, glitch, heat haze and slow pans. Pick them once and they apply across the whole batch, CapCut style, with no timeline editing.
On Artist Pro you can also put your lyrics behind the person in your video. It's a big typography trend, and hard in most tools, where you'd cut yourself out frame by frame. Clips does the cut-out for you, on up to 30 minutes of footage a month.
Spotify Canvas is built in
Spotify's own Canvas guide says a high-quality Canvas has increased streams by up to 120% and saves by up to 114% [7]. Those are best-case figures. Clips makes 3 to 8 second loops from your cover art, with movement and text such as tour dates. We couldn't find Canvas in LYRC's plans.
Should a video tool post for you?
LYRC posts and schedules to Instagram: Rollout makes up to 30 videos at once and schedules them [1][4]. That's a real convenience.
We made a different call. We tested direct posting through TikTok's API on our own account, and the account was shadowbanned. That was TikTok, not Instagram, and we're not saying it would happen with LYRC. It's why we don't connect to your accounts.
Posting yourself takes seconds. The posting calendar reminds you when it's time, with the video ready to save and a caption and 3 hashtags to copy. Because nothing is connected, you can post to as many accounts as you like.
You get far more than a video editor
Every paid MusicMinutes plan includes:
- Playlist Search: around 24,000 bot-checked Spotify playlists with verified curator contacts you keep.
- Submit: 3 submissions a month to the MusicMinutes playlists, each checked by a human.
- Clarity: honest feedback on a TikTok or Reel with clear fixes in about 30 seconds.
- Inspo: a feed of real musician videos with their feedback.
- 1-2-1 advice: message Paul, our founder and an independent artist with over 1M Spotify streams, for help with Meta ads, playlist pitching and your release.
LYRC's plans don't list playlist tools or video feedback. You can see every MusicMinutes limit side by side on our pricing page.
Real footage, so the videos still feel like you
LYRC sells AI b-roll: "one selfie in, a whole batch of AI b-roll out" [5]. It's optional, and LYRC also works with your own clips and stock [2].
We went the other way. A Copenhagen Business School study published in August 2026 found that people engaged less with posts labelled as AI-generated, even when the content was identical, and the drop was biggest for emotional content [6]. We never generate footage with AI. Clips edits your own clips, free stock and curated collections, or makes visualiser-only videos.
Where LYRC might suit you
- You want AI scenes of yourself. LYRC can generate b-roll of you from one selfie [5].
- You want a link-in-bio artist page in the same tool. LYRC's plans include one with a music player [1].
- You want lots of lyric presets to pick from. LYRC has 27 [2].
The verdict: the better-value LYRC alternative
For a solo artist making 100 videos a month, MusicMinutes Artist Pro costs £15 a month on the yearly plan against $59 for LYRC Elite. It works from your whole song, adds full-length videos and Canvas loops, snaps every video to whole bars, and writes hooks from what's getting comments now. Then it adds playlist tools, video feedback and 1-2-1 advice, all with real footage.
If that sounds like your release plan, have a look at Clips on MusicMinutes.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does LYRC cost?
When we checked in October 2026, its plans ran from Creator at $29 a month ($24 billed yearly, 30 exports) to Elite at $89 ($59 billed yearly, 100 exports) [1]. MusicMinutes Artist Pro is £15 a month yearly for 100 videos.

Can MusicMinutes post to Instagram or TikTok for me?
No, on purpose. We tested direct posting through TikTok's API on our own account, and the account was shadowbanned. The posting calendar has the video, caption and hashtags ready, so posting yourself takes seconds.
Does MusicMinutes use AI footage?
No. We never generate footage with AI.
Can I make a Spotify Canvas with LYRC?
We couldn't find a Canvas option in its plans in October 2026. Clips on MusicMinutes has a Canvas mode on both paid plans.
