If you're looking for a Neural Frames alternative, you've probably paid for AI renders and got a handful of videos a month. The algorithm wants a new one every day. Neural Frames turns your song into an AI-generated music video. Clips on MusicMinutes edits real footage into batches of short videos synced to your song.
We checked Neural Frames' pricing and feature pages in October 2026 [1][2][3]. It prices in dollars and we price in pounds, so the numbers sit side by side, unconverted. This is our blog, so we've stuck to facts you can check.
Short version: Neural Frames generates AI music videos and meters them in credits. If you need dozens of real, beat-synced short videos for a release, Clips is built for that.
The fair comparison: Artist Pro vs Neural Knight
Both sell yearly plans, so we've paired yearly with yearly and picked the plans a solo artist would weigh. That's MusicMinutes Artist Pro at £180 a year (£15 a month, or £20 monthly) and Neural Frames' entry plan, Neural Knight, at $312 a year ($26 a month, or $39 monthly) [1].
The two work differently. With Neural Frames, you upload a song and Autopilot analyses the lyrics, key and tempo and builds a storyboard. You pick an AI video model, and the video is ready in 10 to 15 minutes [2]. Clips edits your own footage, free stock, or no footage at all for a visualiser video. Both are legitimate ways to make a music video.
Left out on purpose, because MusicMinutes doesn't offer them:
- Text-to-video and a choice of AI video models. That's the heart of Neural Frames [1], and there's nothing on our side to compare.
- Stem extraction, 4K upscaling and an AI assistant. Neural Frames lists these [1] (4K starts on its Ninja plan). They don't come into editing real footage.
- Free tools and an API. Neural Frames offers these [1]; they're outside what Clips is for.
One row isn't like for like: Neural Frames meters credits and MusicMinutes counts videos. The arithmetic is below.
MusicMinutes vs Neural Frames: feature comparison
| Feature | MusicMinutes Artist Pro | Neural Frames Neural Knight |
|---|---|---|
| Price | £180 a year (£15 a month), or £20 monthly | $312 a year ($26 a month), or $39 monthly [1] |
| What you get each month | 100 videos to keep and download, from up to 15 songs | 2,400 credits, spent at different rates depending on the AI model [1] |
| What the video is made from | Your own footage, free stock, curated collections, or a music visualiser with no footage | Visuals generated by AI video models (7 on this plan) [1] |

Neural Frames pricing vs MusicMinutes pricing
Neural Frames prices checked on 11 October 2026 [1]. Neural Frames shows UK visitors its prices in US dollars and charges in dollars, so your bank converts the amount (often with a small fee), and VAT may be added at checkout.
| Plan | Price | Each month | Also included |
|---|---|---|---|
| MusicMinutes Artist | £10 a month, or £72 a year (£6 a month) | 10 videos (1 full-length), from up to 3 songs | Core styles, Spotify Canvas, 150 Magic Hooks, playlist contacts and submissions, 10 Clarity analyses, 2 GB storage |
| MusicMinutes Artist Pro | £20 a month, or £180 a year (£15 a month) | 100 videos (4 full-length), from up to 15 songs | Everything in Artist, plus every style, lyrics behind the person, 300 Magic Hooks, 20 Clarity analyses, 10 GB |
| Neural Knight | $39 a month, or $312 a year ($26 a month) | 2,400 credits | 7 AI models, Autopilot, Short-Form Studio, 1080p, no 4K [1] |
| Neural Ninja | $99 a month, or $792 a year ($66 a month) | 7,200 credits | Everything in Knight, plus 10 AI models, 4K upscaling, marked "Good for Autopilot" [1] |
| Neural Nirvana | $299 a month, or $2,388 a year ($199 a month) | 24,000 credits | Everything in Ninja, plus priority upscaling, marked "Best for Autopilot" [1] |
Both give you a discount for paying yearly. Neural Frames takes 33% off [1]. MusicMinutes takes 40% off Artist and 25% off Artist Pro. The real difference is what the money buys. MusicMinutes gives you a set number of videos. Neural Frames gives you credits, and how far they go depends on the AI model and video length.
Why MusicMinutes is better for a release campaign
Counted videos instead of GPU credits
Neural Frames is open about this. Autopilot uses GPU-intensive models, so you pay for hardware, and its pricing page shows what a one-minute video costs in credits [1]. On that calculator, the lowest-cost models listed are Seedance 1.5 Pro at 372 credits and Seedance Pro Fast at 384 credits. Kling 3.0 Standard is 852 credits [1].
Now the arithmetic for Neural Knight's 2,400 credits a month. 2,400 ÷ 384 is about 6 one-minute Autopilot videos at Seedance Pro Fast. 2,400 ÷ 852 is about 2.8 at Kling 3.0 Standard, so two full ones and most of a third. Those prices cover video length only, and scene images may add a little more [1]. Frame-by-frame animation is a lower-cost option, at 1 credit per rendered second [1]. Neural Frames doesn't publish a credit cost for Short-Form Studio clips, so we haven't guessed one.
Artist Pro gives you a fixed 100 videos a month to keep, and one run builds up to 30 drafts to pick from.
Synced to the actual beat, so every video loops
Clips finds the bars in your song and snaps the moment you pick to whole bars, so each video starts and ends just before a beat lands. The end flows straight back into the start. Cuts land on the beat, at the speed you choose. Neural Frames has audioreactive effects that pulse with your music [1]. That's a different thing from a loop cut to the bar.
Your whole song, many moments
Upload a song once and the whole track is analysed and transcribed. For a batch from a different part next week, pick a new moment. No new upload.
Lyrics you can read, in a style you choose
Neural Frames' lyric video template writes your lyrics into the AI-generated images. Its own page says this "does not offer the font-by-font precision of a separate caption layer" and that "Generated text can need correction or regeneration" [3]. Clips puts timed lyrics on screen as their own layer over your footage, in one of 11 lyric styles you choose.
On Artist Pro you can also put the lyrics behind the person in your video, so the words pass behind you. It's a current typography trend, and hard to do in most tools, where you'd cut yourself out frame by frame. Clips does the cut-out for you, on up to 30 minutes of footage a month.
Hooks written from what's working right now
The text hook is the first-second line that decides whether someone keeps watching. Magic Hooks starts from hooks in real musician videos from the last six months. It ranks them by real comments and narrows them to your song's genre and mood. It writes 30 at a time, so every video in a batch can try a different angle. We blind-tested six AI models on real songs, with judges from two different AI companies, and kept the one that ranked best.
Effects across the whole batch, no timeline
Artist Pro includes every look: 20 music visualisers, 12 filters, 10 transitions, 12 effects and camera motion like zoom pulses, glitch and slow pans. Pick them once, CapCut-style, and they're applied across the whole batch.
Spotify Canvas from your cover art
Clips has a Canvas mode on both paid plans. It makes 3 to 8 second loops from your cover art, with colours taken from the artwork, movement and text such as tour dates.
Why Clips reminds you instead of posting for you
We tested direct posting through TikTok's API on our own account, and the account was shadowbanned. That's why the Clips posting calendar reminds you when to post, with the video ready to save and a caption and 3 hashtags to copy. Nothing is connected, so you can post to as many accounts as you like.
You get far more than a video editor
Every paid MusicMinutes plan includes:
- Playlist Search: around 24,000 bot-checked Spotify playlists with verified curator contacts, so you can pitch the right curators yourself and keep the contacts.
- Submit: 3 submissions a month to the MusicMinutes playlists, each checked by a human.
- Clarity: upload a TikTok or Reel and get honest feedback with clear fixes in about 30 seconds. You'll know why a video stalled before you post the next ten.
- Inspo: a feed of real musician videos with their feedback, to learn what actually works.
- 1-2-1 advice: message Paul, our founder and an independent artist with over 1M Spotify streams, for help with Meta ads, playlist pitching and your release.
Playlist tools and video feedback aren't listed in Neural Frames' plans [1]. You can see every limit side by side on our pricing page.
Real footage, so the videos still feel like you
AI-generated video is a real creative choice, and Neural Frames is built around it [1]. We never generate footage with AI. A Copenhagen Business School study published in August 2026 found people engaged less with posts labelled as AI-generated or AI-enhanced than with posts created by humans. That held even when the content was identical, and the effect was strongest for emotional content [4].
Where Neural Frames might suit you
- You want a full-length AI music video from one upload. That's what Autopilot is for [2].
- You want visuals you couldn't film. Stylised, surreal or animated worlds are where AI generation shines.
- You want stem-reactive visualisers. Neural Frames lists stem extraction and audioreactive effects that pulse with your music [1].
The verdict: a Neural Frames alternative for real, everyday content
If you want one striking AI music video, Neural Frames does that well. If you need a steady run of short videos for a release, Artist Pro gives you 100 counted videos a month and batches of up to 30 drafts. Edits loop on the bar, and hooks are based on what's getting comments in your genre.
If that sounds like your release plan, have a look at Clips on MusicMinutes.
