Hunting down lo-fi curators eats hours, and a lot of the playlists you find turn out to be botted or want money for a spot. So here is a shortcut for your lo-fi Spotify playlist submission list: 10 lo-fi playlists that passed our bot and quality checks and publish a way to contact the curator. Updated October 2026.
In August 2026 TechCrunch reported that Spotify would add "AI Persona" badges to some artist profiles from mid-September and, by default, leave those profiles out of its editorial and algorithmic recommendations [1]. That doesn't change much for a human lo-fi producer on its own. It does show Spotify is getting choosier about what it recommends, which makes real curators and real listeners worth the effort.
This list is MusicMinutes' own data, pulled from Playlist Search on 11 October 2026 [2]. It's a sample, not our top-rated lo-fi playlists: those, with contacts for every one, stay in Playlist Search.
The list: lo-fi Spotify playlists open to submission in 2026
Follower counts are as of 11 October 2026 and change daily, and the list is sorted by followers. The style column shows each playlist's top genre tags from our data, so you can see at a glance which ones lean jazzy and which lean towards hip hop. Click a name to open it on Spotify.

How we picked these
Every playlist here came out of the same filter in MusicMinutes Playlist Search on 11 October 2026 [2]:
- Its top two genre tags include lo-fi, lo-fi beats, lo-fi hip hop, chillhop or jazz beats.
- It passed our quality checks and has at least 1,000 followers, but isn't one of our very top-rated lo-fi playlists. Those stay in Playlist Search.
- The curator has published a way to be contacted.
- It isn't on our excluded list (playlists we've marked as botted, payola or removed), and its name isn't explicit.
Our quality checks run daily on the playlist's follower history, how active it is and how many small artists it features. Botted and payola playlists are hidden automatically, which keeps them off a list like this.
From the playlists that passed, we took out any that didn't clearly fit lo-fi by name or tags, and any whose title credits the person who made it. Then we picked 10.
A published contact means you can reach the curator. It doesn't mean they take every style, reply to everyone or add your song. One of these is tagged anime, one synthwave and one neo soul, so check the fit before you write.
Lo-fi Spotify playlist submission: how to pitch well
A curator should be able to read your pitch in under a minute and give it an easy yes or an easy no.
- Listen first. Play the newest ten or so songs before you write. The names alone hint at very different jobs: "mellow moods. [sleep/study lo-fi]" sounds like late night listening, while "Lofi feelgood ~ uplifting beats" sounds brighter. Your track should sit next to what's already there without anyone reaching for the skip button.
- Match the sound. Lo-fi covers everything from dusty jazz chords to ambient pads, so check the tempo and whether the playlist has vocals at all. If yours is a jazzhop track, the jazz beats playlists are your best bet.
- Send one short, personal message. Use the playlist's name, mention a song on it you like, say in a line or two what your track sounds like and drop the Spotify link. No copy-paste blast with twenty playlists in BCC.
- No attachments. A Spotify link is all a curator needs. Audio files nobody asked for clog inboxes and look like spam.
- Follow up once. If you hear nothing after a week or two, one polite nudge is fine. After that, move on and pitch your next release.
- Never pay for a placement. More on that below.

What to avoid
Sooner or later someone will offer to sell you a playlist spot. Spotify is blunt about it: it "strictly prohibits using any third party service that promises streams or playlist placement in exchange for money" [3]. Any service that guarantees streams, followers or playlist placement for money is, in Spotify's words, "not legitimate and should be avoided" [3].
Spotify lists possible consequences including removal of the song from Spotify playlists and removal of the track from Spotify altogether, and artificial streams don't earn royalties [3]. So if a curator replies with a price list, thank them and walk away.
Botted playlists are the other trap. They can have big follower numbers and still send no real listeners. That's why every playlist above passed our bot checks, and why a big follower count on its own tells you very little.
Where to find the curator contacts
We left contacts out of this post on purpose. If you want them, MusicMinutes Playlist Search covers around 24,000 bot-checked Spotify playlists. You can search by keyword, genre, mood or similar artist, see each playlist's daily quality score and follower history, and reveal a verified curator contact (an email, Instagram or a submission link) when you're ready to pitch. You keep the contacts even if you cancel, and there's no fee per pitch. It's on the paid plans, with Artist from £72 a year, which also includes 3 human-checked submissions a month to the MusicMinutes playlists.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is lo-fi Spotify playlist submission free?
Pitching a curator directly costs nothing but your time. Every playlist above publishes a way to reach its curator. If anyone asks you to pay for a placement, say no: Spotify says services that promise playlist placement for money aren't legitimate [3].
How many lo-fi playlists should I pitch for one release?
As many as genuinely fit, and no more. A handful of well-matched, personal pitches beats a mass email to every lo-fi list you can find.
Are these the best lo-fi playlists on Spotify?
No, and that's deliberate. They're a sample that passed our bot and quality checks, not our top-rated list. Playlist Search rates every playlist daily from follower history, activity and how many small artists it features [2], and that's where you'll find the highest-rated lo-fi playlists and their contacts.
Why isn't a bigger lo-fi playlist on this list?
It may have missed one of our filters: no published curator contact, fewer than 1,000 followers, top two genre tags outside lo-fi, or a place on our excluded list. Or it may be one of our top-rated lo-fi playlists, which we keep for Playlist Search. We also took a few out by hand because they didn't clearly fit lo-fi. A huge follower count alone doesn't get a playlist in.
